Powell Pleased To Join 'Powerful' Squad

Nick Powell admitted he was eager to join City on loan from Manchester United to play first team football in the Barclays Premier League.
The forward signed on the final day of the summer transfer window to bolster the Foxes attack and give Nigel Pearson a versatile option with plenty of club and international youth level experience.
And after hearing about potential interest from City, Powell admitted that he pestered his agent to secure an agreement between the two clubs.
Speaking exclusively to Foxes Player, the former Crewe striker said: “I’ve been on at my agent all day – he’s probably sick of hearing my voice but I’m glad it’s done and I’m here to get some experience and improve.
“I could go to the Championship and play week in, week out, but the Premier League is the next step and I feel like Leicester gave me that opportunity.
“It’s a good squad – it’s powerful and has pace and is well structured and organised.
“I’m hoping that I’ll do well in the Premier League – the aim is to stay up.”
Powell can play in a range of positions along the frontline and having spoken to Pearson upon signing, he is happy to slot in where needed.
He continued: “I’ve had a chat with him and he said I’ve got to fit into the team and do what the boys do.
“I’m best suited in the No.10, in behind to get a bit of space, turn and go for the attacking option.
“I can play in a number of positions – I’ll just have to try and find which one suits me best at Leicester.
“I’ve got to earn my way into the team first – it’s not given to you – that’s the first step.”
