U18s Report: Reading 1 Leicester City 2

Leicester City’s Academy squad continued their impressive form away from home after beating Reading 2-1 at their Hogwood Park training ground on Saturday.

Jon Rudkin’s youngsters were in a good vein of form having already beaten West Bromwich Albion and Southampton on the road.
And in typical never say die spirit, the Foxes came from one down to turn the game on its head and claim all three points in difficult conditions in Berkshire.
The host took the lead in the first half when Max Smith-Varnham could only parry Reading’s first effort – the City No.1 unlucky after being beaten on the second time of asking.
But a spirited effort from the visitors saw central midfielder Matty Miles equalise after his bending free kick from the left wing went all the way through and bounced past the Royals' shot stopper.
And centre-half Elliot Moore turned in from close range after a melee in the opposition box to secure all three points for Leicester.
Rudkin’s side host Norwich City at Belvoir Drive next weekend and will look to extend their unbeaten run to five games when they face the Canaries.
