Support LCFC Foxes Foundation Partner Charity On Saturday
It’s all being done to help spread the message of the world leading research currently being undertaken in Leicester – funded by Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
There will also be a half-time video on the big screen to help shine a light on the work done by the charity around childhood leukaemia, so keep your eyes peeled and make sure you donate to this worthy cause.
As one of five partner charities of the LCFC Foxes Foundation in 2014/15, the Leicester and Rutland Branch of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research benefit from fundraising that aims to reach the £250,000 mark by the end of the campaign.
The charity has also invested £2 million in research at the University of Leicester Medical School, and is currently finding the treatment trial at Leicester Royal Infirmary UK ALL 2011 – the clinical trial that treats every child who has acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in Leicester and throughout the UK.
Alison Smith, of the Leicester & Rutland branch, said: “People sometimes don’t realise just how important this charity is to the people of Leicester, but we truly have world leading research right here in the city, and it is fantastic that Leicester City Football Club recognises that.”
If you miss one of the collectors at the match, you can text LCFC01 £3 to 70070 to help the charity.
