Moore Scores First International Goal

Leicester City defender Liam Moore scored his first goal in an England shirt after helping the Under-21s beat Croatia 2-1 in Vinkovci on Tuesday night.

The Academy graduate, who went on to play 90 minutes, volleyed in early on to give the Young Lions the lead from a Harry Kane corner.
Marko Livaja levelled for the hosts just before half time but a late strike from Will Hughes saw Gareth Southgate’s men qualify for the finals of the 2015 Under-21 European Championships with a 4-2 aggregate win over the Croatians.
Moore’s first goal for the Under-21s came on a day where he registered his seventh international cap at that level.
Meanwhile, City No.1 Kasper Schmeichel made a string of fine saves for Denmark but couldn't prevent Cristiano Ronaldo from scoring a last-minute header against his side.
The 1-0 loss in Copenhagen broke the Danes' unbeaten start in Group I of the European Championship qualifiers and now sit second in their table.
The 27-year-old shot-stopper played 90 minutes and registered his ninth appearance for the Red and Whites.
His country faces trips to Serbia on Friday 14 November and Romania on Monday 17 November.
Elsewhere, City midfielder Andy King played his part in Wales’ 2-1 win over Cyprus in European Championship qualifying Group B.
The Academy product played 48 minutes before receiving his marching orders for a challenge Constantinos Makridis on Monday night but his nation saw out the game and now top their table after two wins and a draw from their opening three fixtures.
Fellow countryman and City team mate Tom Lawrence was an unused substitute as goals from David Cotterill and Hal Robson-Kanu helped Chris Coleman’s side maintain their unbeaten start to the competition in Cardiff.
Wales play their final game of 2014 against Belgium on Sunday 16 November.
The international break will come to a close on Wednesday when four Foxes take to the field to represent their nations.
Riyad Mahrez’s Algeria again take on Malawi in Group B of the African Group of Nations after the winger started for the Fennecs in their last outing on Saturday.
Fellow wide man Jeffrey Schlupp will also look to register another cap for Ghana when his country aim for three points in Group E of the African Cup of Nations against Guinea.
Development Squad centre-half Alie Sesay marked his first appearance for Sierra Leone with a clean sheet against Cameroon on Saturday and will hope to face the Indomitable Lions again on Wednesday.
And left back Ben Chilwell, who has impressed at both Under-18 and Under-21 level at the Club this season, could play for England Under-19s in their European Championship clash against Belgium.
