U18 Report: City 4 Right To Dream 1

City’s Academy squad rounded off their pre-season campaign with a 4-1 win over Ghanaian side Right To Dream.

The visitors, who have recently beaten Swedish side Mjallby to win the World Youth Football Tournament in Gothenburg, Sweden, took the lead through Mohammed Zakyi.
But the Foxes youngsters, who begin their Barclays U18 Premier League season away to West Ham United on Saturday 23 August, turned the game around after half time.
City started bright as Kyle Bailey had his shot saved by Ghanaian goalkeeper Godwin Kusi Danquah.
But the Foxes fell behind on seven minutes as Zakyi slotted under the trialist No. 1 to make it 1-0 to the visiting team.
Bailey excelled on the right wing in the first half, first setting up Danny Rowe, whose header was parried into the path of Andre Olukamni but the winger couldn’t find the net.
Chris Dusabe came agonisingly close to an equaliser but his header shaved the upright on the half-hour mark.
And the powerful forward had another chance, again with a header, but turned his effort just over the bar right on half time.
The Foxes emerged a different team after the break and skipper Elliott Moore fired in the equaliser after collecting a clearance in the area and side-footing into net on 56 minutes.
And City took the lead 12 minutes later as a swift counter attack resulted in Olukamni firing in Dusabe’s low cross.
Substitute Keenan King slotted in Aaron Hassel’s low pass after good work from the winger down the left hand side on 76 minutes.
Admiral Muskwe added number four through an unmarked header late on to round off a good win against an athletic and physical opponent.
