Pearson Focusing On Positives

City manager Nigel Pearson is treating the visit of Manchester United no differently to any other game when they come to King Power Stadium on Sunday.

The Foxes registered their first win of the Barclays Premier League season on Saturday after beating Stoke City 1-0 at the Britannia Stadium.
Having already hosted Everton and Arsenal, it is Louis Van Gaal’s Red Devils that face the trip south to face Pearson’s men.
With the likes of Radamel Falcao, Angel Di Maria, Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney on show, it is set to be a highly entertaining fixture, but preparations for the game will not change according to the City boss.
He said: “When you play sides like Manchester United, there’s going to be huge expectation and I think it’s great that the player look forward to games like this, but in terms of how we prepare for it then we’ll do it as we do every game.
“That is to have a look at strengths and weaknesses and trying to get the best way of playing to give ourselves the best chance of winning the game.
“Certainly these are the game that we’ve aspired to play in so I don’t see any reason to be anything other than positive.”
Satisfied with Leicester’s league outings so far, Pearson feels it was his side’s ability to adapt to different challenges that helped them claim their first three points of the season against Mark Hughes’ men.
He continued: “After the first four games the players’ performances have indicated for the most part that we have the ability to improve and do okay, and Saturday’s game gave us a first win, but we had to show different qualities.
“We’ve played better than that before, but we still showed some qualities that you will need in any game to get over the line, especially away from home.
“There are lots of positives to focus on and we look forward to the game on Sunday.”
