Foxes Lotto: Meet Your Legends

Foxes Lotto has been big hit since its launch last summer, with loads of you signing up; giving you the chance to win millions; while benefiting the LCFC Community Trust and LCFC Academy.
When you play, you have to select your six numbers and then choose yourself a Foxes’ legend too. 

We've got quite a mix of players for you to choose from when it comes to the legends, who are as follows: 

Gordon Banks (1959-1967) 

Banks is widely regarded as one of the greatest goalkeepers of the 20th century. He played in two FA Cup Finals and two League Cup Finals for Leicester City winning the League Cup in 1964. During this time he established himself as England's number one goalkeeper, and played every game of the nation's 1966 World Cup victory. 

Ali Mauchlen (1985-1992) 

Ali Mauchlen’s totally committed play for Leicester as a midfielder, a right back and a captain, made him a fan’s favourite. Mauchlen scored 12 goals in 264 appearances for the club. 

Alan Birchenall (1971-1977) 

After joining the Foxes in 1971, Birchenall went on to make 183 appearances and scored 14 goals. Birchenall is currently club ambassador, which includes the role of pre-match and half-time host at Leicester City. 

Matt Elliott (1997-2005) 

Elliott became a mainstay in the Leicester side, and also performed well in cup competitions. The defender became synonymous with the Foxes' tenacious style of play that made them one of the hardest sides to play in the Premiership. 

Steve Walsh (1986-2000) 

A no-nonsense central defender and excellent striker, versatile hard man Walsh scored 62 goals from 449 appearances for The Foxes. He’s a hugely popular figure with Leicester fans, who nicknamed him "Captain Fantastic". 

Muzzy Izzet (1996-2004) 

Muzzy made 319 appearances and scored 47 goals for Leicester City in a club career spanning almost a decade. He helped the Foxes to League Cup victories in 1997 and 2000. 

Keith Weller (1971-1978) 

Widely considered to be one of Leicester City’s greatest ever players, Weller, who won 4 England caps whilst at Leicester,made 297 appearances for The Foxes throughout the 1970s, scoring 43 goals. 

Gary Lineker (1978–1985) 

Lineker helped Leicester City win promotion to the First Division in 1980 and again in 1983. He was the English First Division's joint top scorer in 1984/85. He scored 103 goals for Leicester City and won his first England caps whilst at Filbert Street. 

Frank Worthington (1972-1979) 

Forward Frank Worthington was a prolific goalscorer for the Foxes throughout the 70’s, with 78 goals from 239 appearances for the club. Frank’s flair and skill on the ball earned him 8 England caps whilst at Leicester. 

Peter Shilton (1966-1974) 

A 16-year-old Shilton made his debut with the Leicester City first team against Everton in 1966. Peter settled into life as a first team member, making it to the FA Cup final at Wembley aged just 19. He played 339 games for Leicester City and was capped 20 times for England whilst at Filbert Street.
