A home game against Everton will kick off Leicester City's first Barclays Premier league campaign in 10 years, following the release of the 2014/15 fixtures on Wednesday.
The visit of the Toffees to King Power Stadium on Saturday 16 August is the first in a challenging sequence of early fixtures for Nigel Pearson's men, who will also face a trip to Chelsea and home games against Arsenal and Manchester United in their first five games.
Champions Manchester City will visit King Power Stadium on 13 December - part of a festive schedule which also includes a home game against Tottenham Hotspur on Boxing Day and a trip to Anfield to face Liverpool on New Year's Day.
The end-of-season run-in has handed City the potential advantage of playing four of their final six games on home soil. The campaign closes on 24 May with a home game against fellow Premier League new boys Queens Park Rangers.
City will have an opportunity to assess their opening day opponents on Sunday 27 July when – a game that will mark the 25th anniversary of City’s parent company, King Power International.
