Wes Aims For Festive Flyer

The Foxes host league leaders Cardiff City in the npower Championship on Saturday (kick-off 3pm), looking to close the gap on the automatic promotion places with a vital three points.

A win would also be the perfect start to a challenging Christmas schedule for Nigel Pearson’s men, who follow their clash with the division’s pace-setters with a trip to fourth-placed Hull City on Boxing Day.

“We’re all working towards the Cardiff game because we want to get the right result and kick off the Christmas period with a win,” Wes told lcfc.com.

“It’s a big game and in the last couple of games we haven’t got the results we wanted, so we’ll be looking to put that right on Saturday.

“The Christmas period is always important and if we can take points from all of the games coming up, starting with Cardiff, then it will set us up well for the New Year.”

The Blue Army look set to be out in force for the game against the Bluebirds, as the Foxes look to boost their promotion hopes by building on a home record bettered only by Saturday’s visitors.

And Morgan expects a game featuring two of the division’s top five to capture the imagination of a wider audience.

“It’s just before Christmas, the kids will be finished school and there should be a great atmosphere around Leicester,” he added.

“It’s a big game so there will be a lot of people not connected to Cardiff of Leicester watching out to see the result and we’re determined to win it.”

Supporters attending Saturday’s game against Cardiff City are advised to arrive early as a large attendance is expected for the game.
