2015/16 White Away Kit By PUMA On Sale Now!

Leicester City’s brand new 2015/16 white away kit by PUMA is now available to purchase from the City Fanstore and online at www.lcfcdirect.com.

The final addition to City’s 2015/16 collection by PUMA, the striking white strip made its first team debut on Saturday, when the Foxes beat West Ham United in the Barclays Premier League. 

The white shirt features PUMA’s ‘T7 stripe’ across the shoulders, while the collar is also in Leicester City blue. King Power’s new logo, with gold detailing, completes the replica shirt. 

Shorts and socks continue the blue and white theme, with a blue PUMA logo on the left leg and City’s crest on the right leg. 

Similar to the Home Kit and Away Kit, ‘LCFC’ runs down the rear of the socks, this time in blue. There are a number of iconic occasions that City have donned a white strip. 

In the 1963 FA Cup Final, due to television sets still broadcasting in black and white, the Foxes had to switch from their traditional blue kit to white in order to distinguish between City’s blue and Manchester United’s red. 

The Foxes even sported white as their home colours during the 1972/73 campaign, this despite wearing a blue home strip for nearly 70 years previously, apart from the period during and just after the First World War, when the shirts had blue and white stripes due to a shortage of blue dye. 

White was also worn in City’s famous League Cup Semi-Final in 1997, when Simon Grayson scored a great equalising header at Selhurst Park against Wimbledon to secure City’s place in the final against Middlesbrough. 

It was most recently donned in the 2013/14 season, when City stormed to the Championship title in record-breaking style. 

The City Fanstore at King Power Stadium will open at 8am on Saturday 15 August so that supporters travelling to the West Ham United game on Fox Travel can purchase their 2015/16 white kit.
