Steve Beaglehole says Leicester City's Development Squad must get the basics right if they are to pick up three points from the visit of (12pm kick-off).

The Foxes return to Premier League 2 duties after two matches in the Premier League Cup and, ahead of the trip to Nottingham Forest next Friday evening, Beaglehole’s men will be keen to get some points on the board.

City go into the encounter having last Monday night on the south coast and the Under-23s manager admitted that he has prioritised defensive solidity over the coming weeks.

“The biggest thing we need to do is keep a clean sheet,” Beaglehole told LCFC TV, previewing the clash with the Gunners. “If we can keep a clean sheet I would think we would come away from this match with all three points.

“That would be fantastic. What personnel we’ll have for the match, I don’t know, but we’ll have to look at doing something a little different defensively because we are leaking goals.”

Beaglehole hinted that he may change the shape of his line-up for the visit of Steve Gatting’s men in an attempt to give his side the best possible chance of securing their first league victory of 2017.

He added: “It may be that we change the personnel around or possibly that we change shape. Against Arsenal you need to be tight and solid at the back because they’ll have some good players.

“They have some imaginative and talented players so the most important thing for us is to keep a clean sheet.”
