Ben Chilwell says Leicester City will not dwell on Sunday’s to Everton.

During a hectic first half, the Foxes recovered from an early Tom Davies strike to take a 2-1 lead at Goodison Park, but goals from Romelu Lukaku and Phil Jagielka handed Everton the advantage at half-time.

While City put in a spirited second-half performance, Lukaku struck again just before the hour mark to seal the points for Ronald Koeman’s in-form Toffees.

Confident his side will bounce back against Atlético Madrid on Wednesday, : “We’ve got the Champions League game on Wednesday which is another massive match for the Club.

“Everyone is confident going into it even though we lost today (Sunday). We’ll go into it with the same form we’ve had previous to the Everton game.

“It was great to get six wins before this so obviously it would have been nice to carry it on, but rotated the squad. He gave a few players the chance and obviously rested a few of the players for the Champions League game.

“Hopefully on Wednesday everyone will come back fit and fresh and everyone that’s involved, whether they start or come off the bench, will be ready to get the win.”

Chilwell was particularly frustrated with the manner in which City conceded against Everton, but did credit his side for showing fight to get back into the game.

He added: “Away from home, it’s obviously going to be difficult to win a game when you concede four goals. The big thing is the manner in which we conceded three of the goals, if not all four. Two set plays and conceding within the first 30 seconds of the game was difficult.

“We had a few chances at the end of the game and if they had gone in, it would have been a different story.

“The response was brilliant. The two goals straight after gave us a good platform to go on and hopefully win the match if we’d have carried on that way.

“It was a great response, but we conceded twice again in the first half and that was disappointing. It led to them getting another goal and going on to win the game. We’ll look to tighten up on it for the next match.”
