- Ben Chilwell calls upon Leicester City to swiftly get back to winning ways against AFC Bournemouth
- The Foxes suffered a heavy loss to Tottenham Hotspur at King Power Stadium on Thursday evening
- 20-year-old defender Chilwell scored his first goal for the Club against Mauricio Pochettino's Spurs
Defender Ben Chilwell says Leicester City must recover quickly from the heavy defeat by Tottenham Hotspur at King Power Stadium on Thursday evening.
The 20-year-old left-back scored his first professional goal for the Club but it wasn’t enough to stop second-placed Spurs from running out as 6-1 victors in both sides’ penultimate fixture of the 2016/17 campaign.
Harry Kane struck on four occasions for Mauricio Pochettino's visitors while Son Heung-min scored a brace. City next face AFC Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon and Chilwell insists they must use it as an opportunity to end the season with a victory.
The Foxes know they will finish in the top half of the Premier League table if they are able to take three points from Eddie Howe’s Cherries on the final day.
Discussing the Spurs result with LCFC TV at full-time, Chilwell said: “Obviously it was a disappointing game. The result shows how were weren’t up to it today against quality opposition. If you don’t turn up on the day against teams like this then you’re going to get punished.
“[Craig Shakespeare] said at half-time that, if we come out and got the first goal, we could go on and win the match. We did that but their third goal came too soon after ours and it killed us. The game got stretched and they showed how good they are in front of goal.
“We’ve had a great few months with a lot of good games. We hope this is just a blip and we’ll go again on Sunday and finish the season the way the last few months have gone for us. It has a massive impact on our position in the table.
"We want to match to finish as high as possible in the table. It’s a big thing for us to finish the season well.”
