Dates Confirmed For Checkatrade Trophy

- City face trips to Sheffield United and Grimsby Town before a home clash with Walsall at King Power Stadium 

- The Foxes are one of 16 Category 1 academy sides to feature in this season’s competition 

Dates and venues for the Development Squad’s three Checkatrade Trophy fixtures have now been confirmed. 

One of 16 Category 1 academy sides to take part in the 2016/17 competition, the Steve Beaglehole’s outfit were drawn against Sheffield United, Grimsby Town and Walsall in Northern Group H in late July. 

City’s fixture against Sheffield United will take place at Bramall Lane on Tuesday 30 August (7.45pm kick-off), before they face Grimsby Town at Blundell Park on Tuesday 4 October (7.45pm kick-off). 

The Foxes then round off their Northern Group H involvement with a home tie against Walsall at King Power Stadium on Tuesday 8 November (7.45pm kick-off).
