Drinkwater & Vardy Named In England Squad

Jamie Vardy and Danny Drinkwater have both been named in Sam Allardyce’s first England squad for the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Slovakia on Sunday 4 September.
The Three Lions get their World Cup qualifying Group F campaign underway against Slovakia early next month at the City Arena in Trnava and both Vardy and Drinkwater will be eager to impress new boss Allardyce.
The City duo excelled throughout their side’s stunning Premier League title-winning campaign and will hope to transfer that fine form onto the international stage.
Vardy has netted four times in 11 appearances for England, while Drinkwater has been capped three times, including a man-of-the-match display against the Netherlands on debut in March.
The full England squad to face Slovakia is as follows:
