IMPORTANT INFORMATION: LCFC Fans In Copenhagen

LCFC.com has some important information for all Leicester City supporters travelling to Copenhagen to watch the Foxes in the UEFA Champions League.
Over 3,000 City fans are heading to the Telia Parken Stadium for the clash with FC Copenhagen on Wednesday 2 November and all are asked to take note of the below information to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

Location: Telia Parken Stadium, Copenhagen, Denmark

Time zone: +1 hour GMT

Currency: Danish Krone (DKK)

Tickets: SOLD OUT

TRAVELLING FANS

A fan zone will be situated at Axel Torv, close to the area of designated pubs for fans to congregate in ahead of the game.

As a point of reference for fans, there will be designated Leicester City stewards in hi-vis coats, with visible ID, located in the centre of Copenhagen.

Police wish to promote a relaxed atmosphere by offering a specific area of pubs to soak up the atmosphere ahead of the game.

Each of the below designated pubs will be offering Leicester City fans reduced prices on food and drink ahead of the game.

These pubs are as follows:

- Rosie McGee’s

- The Scottish Pub

- The English Pub

- The Shamrock Inn

- Vesterbro Bryghus

It is the law in Denmark that everyone must carry some form of ID at ALL times – preferably a passport or driving licence.

Landlords of public houses may refuse to allow fans to dress their hostelry in Leicester colours and we ask that fans respect their wishes. The content of the flag or banner must not be derogatory toward any topic or colourful language.

JOURNEY TO TELIA PARKEN STADIUM

The journey from Copenhagen airport to the city centre takes approximately 15 minutes.

Fans without a coach transfer arranged have a choice of using the Metro service or via taxi into the city centre – taxis are the more expensive choice.

Upon arrival into the city, fans will be delivered to the main central train station in Copenhagen – Kobenhavans Hovedbangard. The station is approximately 500m away from the pubs designated for LCFC fans.

Danish police will expect fans to congregate at approximately 6pm local time at the main central railway station for the trip to the stadium.

Two trains with a capacity of 4,000 people will transfer fans from the centre of Copenhagen to a station one mile from the stadium. Upon arrival, fans will be escorted to the stadium by LCFC stewards and Danish police

It is important to note down the location (Kobenhavans Hovedbangard) as a point of reference for their subsidised ride to the stadium.

TICKETS

The ticket collection point for Leicester City fans will be located at the Axel Torv Square, close to the Wallmans Circus Building, Jernbanegade 8, 1608 Copenhagen

Fans can collect their tickets from 9am up until 6.30pm local time on Wednesday 2 November

Supporters will be required to present the passport that they have used to travel and their redeemable ticket voucher in order to collect their actual match ticket. All Champions League match tickets will be sold to individual Season Ticket Holders and Members using their unique supporter numbers and must be collected in person by the respective Season Ticket Holder - this includes all concessions and companions. We will only issue match tickets to the individuals that they have been allocated to.

Therefore, should the name on the voucher and the passport not match, you will not be issued with a match ticket. Other forms of ID and photocopies will not be accepted under any circumstances.

All tickets purchased under a Season Ticket Holder Supporter Number will not be transferable and cannot be used by any other supporter.

Supporters are advised to arrive at the ticket collection point as early as possible to avoid delays. There will be no opportunity to collect tickets once the facility is closed.

Those travelling with the Club’s Thomas Cook supporter travel will receive their match tickets on the flight.

Fans who DO NOT have a ticket for the fixture are strongly advised not to travel to Copenhagen.

Please note, there will be NO ticket sales on the day of the game.

Tickets are SOLD OUT for the Copenhagen fixture.

STADIUM REGULATIONS

Every supporter that enters the stadium will be subject to a body search. ID is required to support a valid ticket. Any form of bag WILL NOT be allowed inside the stadium.

It is a criminal offence to attempt to enter the stadium with fireworks, smoke bombs or marine flares.

Flags are allowed to be taken into the stadium but must refer to the visiting team only and must not be derogatory. Flags should be placed at the rear of the stand and cannot be placed on the stadium’s fences.

Banned items include drinks, fireworks, sprays, objects with sharp points, sticks, toilet paper and other paper objects.

Throwing objects and beverages is strictly prohibited.

The concessions in the stadium are CASH and CREDIT CARD, while there are also cash machines located around the city centre.

FAN LOCATION

LCFC fans will enter the Telia Parken Stadium through designated turnstiles. Kiosks will provide soft drinks and food ahead of the game and at half-time. Only food and drink purchased inside the stadium are allowed into the stands.

The area for Leicester City fans is behind the south goal mouth and is covered to protect from the elements. Fans should expect cold temperatures in Copenhagen.

Fans with disabilities will be located in the upper section of the stand, supported by specific facilities and a lift.

At the end of the game, LCFC fans must remain in their section until they are released by police. They will then be walked to their coaches, which will be located on the stadium footprint.

Those who have travelled by other means into Copenhagen will be shuttled back into the city centre to complete their return journey to the airport via taxi, bus or Metro.
