Andy King says it is important for him to keep improving as a player after making his 350th appearance for Leicester City on Monday.

It was a game of milestones for the Wales international, who also made his 250th start for the Club and has now played alongside 150 different City players after featuring alongside Papy Mendy.

It is a brilliant achievement for the midfielder having made his debut for the Club in League 1 against Wolverhampton Wanderers back in 2007.

“Whenever you get those numbers, it’s good to hear, but it’s important that we keep progressing as a club and also that I keep improving as well,” King told LCFC TV.

“It was a good performance today. First and foremost, it was important to get another point in the right direction after the good win at West Ham.

“We’re pleased with the performance today – I thought the boys did well and from a personal note, it’s a nice one for me as well.”

An Academy graduate, King is the only man in the Premier League era to lift all of England’s top three league titles – a feat that City’s leading midfield goalscorer achieved with the tremendous support of the Club.

He added: “When you’re young, you want to play one or two games and coming through the Academy, you want to say that you’ve played for the first team.

“To go on and do that is obviously a massive one and I’m just thankful for the support I’ve received throughout the years – long may that continue.

“To be playing in the Premier League with some of the situations we’ve been in is brilliant. The important thing now is to make sure that we kick on.”
