A Leicester City XI will head to the Proact Stadium to take on Chesterfield on Tuesday 2 August (7.30pm kick-off), as part of pre-season preparations for the 2016/17 campaign.
With the Club’s first team out in Stockholm taking on Barcelona on Wednesday 3 August in their final International Champions Cup fixture, the clash against the Spireites is likely to mainly feature players from Leicester City’s Development Squad.
The Foxes last took on Chesterfield in a competitive fixture in 1998, when a 3-1 League Cup win at Saltergate in the second round helped mount a charge to the final of the competition, while the Club’s Under-18s recorded a 1-0 FA Youth Cup win over the Spireites in January 2015.
