Leicester City youngsters Tom Lawrence, Hamza Choudhury and Michael Cain have continued to excel during their respective loan spells in the Football League.

Lawrence, on loan at Ipswich Town, scored a specular goal from 30 yards out against Queens Park Rangers last time out but it was not enough to prevent a 2-1 defeat for the Tractor Boys at Loftus Road.

The Wales International’s strike came in between Idrissa Sylla’s 30th minute opener and a late winner by Pawel Wszolek to hand Ian Holloway’s men victory and keep Town in 15th place in the Sky Bet Championship table.

Lawrence has been ever-present for Mick McCarthy’s side over Christmas, featuring seven times since the start of December, and has three second-tier goals to his name thus far this season.

Meanwhile, Choudhury has been useful for Burton Albion and made a late cameo appearance during the 1-0 defeat by Preston North End at the Pirelli Stadium on Monday 2 January, 2017.

The midfielder has made 16 appearances for the Brewers this campaign. Choudhury, 19, was a loan addition last season as Burton won automatic promotion from League 1, playing 13 games during a three-month loan spell and has continued to impress this term.

Cain, on the other hand, has been called upon often as Blackpool chase a play-off berth in League 2 with his most recent display coming during the 1-0 defeat to Mansfield Town this week.

On a season-long stay in the North West, Cain has featured 13 times for Blackpool this season, scoring his only goal for the club during the 2-1 defeat by Accrington Stanley on 15 October.
