Leicester City youngsters Tom Lawrence, Hamza Choudhury, Michael Cain and Callum Elder have all continued their steady progress out on loan at Football League clubs in recent weeks.

Welsh international Lawrence scored the opening goal as Ipswich Town defeated Championship promotion rivals Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 a fortnight ago before making a 32-minute cameo from the bench during his country’s 1-1 draw with Serbia this week.

The Tractor Boys have relied heavily upon Lawrence this season and sit in 15th place in the table under Mick McCarthy, five points adrift of the play-off positions in the second tier.

Choudhury, meanwhile, has also proven integral to Burton Albion’s efforts thus far this season, helping Nigel Clough’s newly-promoted side sit in relative comfort in 18th in the Championship.

The 18-year-old was a crucial loan addition last season as Burton win automatic promotion from League 1, playing 13 games during a three-month loan spell, and has continued to impress at the Pirelli Stadium after agreeing another loan deal in August.

Choudhury, who signed a new four-year deal at King Power Stadium this summer, has featured 10 times for the Brewers this season and has proven to be a popular figure with the Staffordshire club’s supporters since extending this stay for another year.

Young Foxes midfielder Cain, currently on loan at League 2 side Blackpool, featured for the Tangerines in the 1-1 draw with Everton U23s in the Checkatrade Trophy last week.

Cain, on a season-long stay at Bloomfield Road, has featured four times in the league for Blackpool this season, scoring his first goal for the club during the 2-1 defeat by Accrington Stanley on 15 October.

Elder, on the other hand, continues to challenge for a starting berth at Brentford after being called upon on six occasions during the opening weeks of the 2016/17 campaign.
