Momentum Now Pivotal For Albrighton

- The Foxes play five Premier League fixtures in 21 days, starting with a clash against Manchester City at King Power Stadium on Saturday 

- The winger says City have the potential to hurt Man City’s back line 

Marc Albrighton says now is the time to build momentum, as Leicester City prepare to play five Premier League fixtures in the space of three weeks. 

Manchester City are the Foxes’ next opponents, with a clash coming up against Pep Guardiola’s star-studded outfit on Saturday evening at King Power Stadium. 

That game signals a solid run of league fixtures, with encounters against AFC Bournemouth, Stoke City, Everton and West Ham United all coming up over December. 

Albrighton told LCFC TV: “There are a lot of games coming up and everyone will be needed in this period. If they have a bit of match fitness in them from the Porto game, then it’s a positive. 

“It’s brilliant for us because if we feel like we have the games coming thick and fast, especially when you need the points, if it’s two or three games a week then that’s great. 

“It means we can pick up a little bit of momentum and hopefully pick up some points along the way.” 

While City can take a great deal from their results against Man City last term, particularly the 3-1 win at Etihad Stadium in February, Albrighton knows Saturday’s game will be much different. 

But the winger is confident his side’s talent going forward and believes the Foxes certainly have the potential to deal damage to the opposition defence. 

He added: “We can take confidence from the 3-1 win, but ultimately we’ve got some new players and they’ve got some new players, so it’s going to be a different game. 

“We’ve still got the quality in our side to be able to hurt them and get something out the game. That’s what I believe, and hopefully we can do that.”
