N’Golo Kante: Departing Leicester Midfielder Thanks Club And Fans After Chelsea Switch

N’Golo Kanté says he will remember the confidence shown in him by Leicester City and the Club’s supporters forever, after concluding his transfer to Chelsea this weekend.
, one year after joining the Foxes from French club Caen.
During his only season at King Power Stadium, Kanté became a Premier League champion with City, while his performances for the Foxes helped him establish himself as a senior international with France.
The 25-year-old midfielder took to social media on Sunday to express his gratitude.
He said: “The 2015/16 past season will remain as an important season for me as a football player. After a fantastic season [with Leicester], it ended with a final of Euro 2016 with the French national team. We lost, but we can be proud.
“This season, I also discovered the Premier League with Leicester City. I want to thank the leaders, my teammates and Claudio Ranieri for this fantastic season that saw us winning the title of England. Their confidence and also the fans’ [confidence] will forever remain in my memory. And I again thank you all.”
Kanté made 40 appearances for City during the 2015/16 season, featuring in all bar one of our 38 Premier League matches, as the Foxes won the first top-flight title in the Club’s 132-year history.
