Leicester City’s Under-18s were beaten 2-0 by Chelsea at Cobham training centre on Saturday afternoon in the U18 Premier League.

The young Foxes headed into the game on the back of a brilliant 2-2 draw at Southampton that saw them recover from two goals down to earn an U18 Premier League point.

After an even opening period, City created the first opportunity of the game, as Harrison Myring sent an effort just wide of the mark.

Leicester stopper Cameron Yates did well at the other end to deny Jacob Maddox, before Martell Taylor-Crossdale sent a header off target shortly after.

Following a goalless opening 45 minutes, Taylor-Crossdale proved to be the difference after the break, with the striker netting eight minutes into the second half and again with seven minutes to play to secure three points for the hosts.

The young Foxes next head to Fulham on Saturday 19 November (12pm kick-off) for their third of five consecutive away fixtures in the U18 Premier League.
