U23s Preview: Leicester City vs. Tottenham Hotspur

Leicester City’s Development Squad head into Monday’s clash with Tottenham Hotspur on the back of three battling Premier League 2 away draws. 

The Foxes have claimed points at Southampton, Manchester City and most recently Chelsea to register a productive run of results. 

City take on a Tottenham side that have lost their last four Premier League 2 fixtures, but earlier in the season earned credible victories at Reading and Derby County. 

A victory for Steve Beaglehole’s outfit could see them move level on points with Tottenham, who currently occupy 10th position in the Premier League 2 table. 

Steve Beaglehole told LCFC TV after the draw with Chelsea: “I’m delighted because that’s three straight draws now in the league, which is a very important competition for us. 

“To not get beat at Chelsea following those results at Southampton and Manchester City shows that the lads are improving. 

“We were really resilient tonight and we adapted to changing our shape in the game really well. We were under the cosh early on but we changed and went 4-4-1-1 and dealt with their wide players. 

“The lads showed great resilience and I’m so pleased for them. We’ve had a lot of games recently, but we’ve really dug deep and wore that shirt with pride. I’m really proud of them.”

You can purchase your tickets for the Spurs clash on Monday 24 October from the City Fanstore at King Power Stadium up until 6pm. 

After 6pm, tickets are available for purchase from the Matchday Ticket Office located next to the City Fanstore.
