U18's pre-match huddle

Under-18s Match Report: Norwich City 1 Leicester City 0

Leicester City Under-18s suffered defeat at Norwich City on Tuesday 28 February, courtesy of a Owen Wallis strike in the 78th minute, but remain 11th in Premier League U18 South.

With just one match of the regulation season remaining, at home to Southampton at the weekend, Trevor Peake’s men are in a tussle with the Saints, Brighton and Hove Albion and Swansea City to avoid finishing bottom.

There was much for the young Foxes to take comfort from at the Colney Training Centre on Tuesday afternoon with goalkeeper Cameron Yates and midfielder Harrison Myring delivering positive performances in East Anglia.

However, City succumbed in the 78th minute after a largely regimented display as Wallis struck 12 minutes from time to help the Canneries climb up to sixth-place in the league standings, leaving Peake’s men in 11th.

Once the standard season is complete, the two divisions, North and South, will be split into three pools of four where each team plays one another once, giving Peake's men another opportunity to gain invaluable experience.
