- The 39-year-old joins from Championship side Aston Villa 

- Ben will work alongside Steve Beaglehole during a busy and exciting season for the Under-23s squad 

Leicester City Football Club can confirm the appointment of Ben Petty as Assistant Under-23s coach. 

The former Hull City and Stoke City defender has carved out an impressive reputation working within youth football and has picked up extensive experience since ending his playing career in 2007. 

Ben joins the Club from midlands side Aston Villa, where he spent a number of years working within their academy structure – a role that will have prepared him well for new task with the Foxes. 

Working alongside Steve Beaglehole, Ben will work to prepare Leicester City’s Under-23s side for an exciting season in the Premier League 2, the Premier League Cup and the Premier League International Cup. 

A number of that group will also take part in the Checkatrade Trophy.
