Players Thrill Youngsters At Half Term

The youngsters got a chance to put their questions to the duo, who also put their skills to the test in a keenly contested penalty shootout with the participants. 

“It’s always nice to come out and see the kids,” said Wood speaking afterwards. “This is where it all started for us as professionals, coming to these sorts of camps and it’s just nice to give back to the community too. 

“I used to come to one of these camps every school holiday no matter what. It was always nice when the Football Kings (in New Zealand) came along to one of the training sessions. It made us smile and kept us inspired to keep going. 

“It’s about good fun at that age and that seems to be what they’re doing here.” 

Logan added: “I was the exact same when I was their age. I went to every soccer camp going in the holidays and I wasn’t fortunate enough to have professional footballers come to those camps, so for the players at Leicester to come out is very good.”
