U17s Report: City 5-3 Birmingham

Much like the first team against Manchester United on Sunday, the visitors raced into a 2-0 lead, opening the scoring within five minutes and doubling their advantage just before half time.
But the Foxes looked a completely different team in the second half and replied within six minutes of the restart.
Substitute Josh Appiah broke down the left on 51 minutes, setting up Harvey Barnes whose shot was saved, only for striker Keenan King to fire in the rebound.
Another effort from King could have seen City draw level but the powerful No.9 fired over from close range just moments after his first strike.
Wave after wave of attack from the hosts eventually broke Birmingham down – Appiah making it 2-2 after tapping in from close range just before the hour mark.
And Appiah turned provider two minutes later after setting up Barnes – the central midfielder hitting the back of the net to put City into the lead for the first time in the game.
Barnes then hit the bar with 69 minutes on the clock through a free kick on the left wing before putting his side into a 4-2 lead two minutes later as the No.8 side-footed in a superb flick over the top of the Birmingham back four by King.
The visitors pulled one back with a free kick from range but a second goal from Appiah, who fired in off the post on 84 minutes, sealed another remarkable comeback for the Club just two days after the first team's victory over Louis Van Gaal's men by the same scoreline.
