Foxes Receive International Praise

The Foxes’ sensational run of recent form has won them plenty of admirers in the footballing world, and now Sweden National Team Manager Erik Hamren is another name to add to that list.
King Power Stadium played host to the experienced manager on his recent visit to England, and the 56-year-old couldn’t help but be impressed by what he saw from the Foxes, both on and off the pitch.

After paying a visit to several members of his Sweden squad at clubs such as Fulham, Norwich and West Brom, Erik was invited by City’s Head of Sports Science, Paul Balsom, who also works with the Swedish National Team, to spend some time in Leicester to gain an insight into how the Club operates.

Afterwards, he had some kind words for City boss Nigel Pearson and his squad, telling Foxes Player: “Nigel Pearson is doing a fantastic job in my opinion. From the three days I have been here, one of the things I have been impressed with is the way he is making his staff work together and giving them responsibility.

“Also I can feel the atmosphere and attitude within the troops. A lot of people contribute towards that, but of course the manager is at the top of that. I’m really impressed with what he has done and what the Club has done.

“I’ve been here now for a few days visiting Leicester and I’m impressed. I must say I can see why they are number one in the league, because it’s really, really good here.

“I’m impressed at how the staff here work together and also with the philosophy they have. It’s Nigel Pearson and his way of giving responsibility to the people who are working with him, and in my opinion that’s why it’s working so well.”
