Jacob Blyth Joins Burton On Loan

Young Leicester City striker Jacob Blyth has agreed a loan move to Sky Bet League 2 side Burton Albion.
Jacob, 22, joins Gary Rowett’s side until January and should be available for selection when the Brewers host Queens Park Rangers in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday night.
Blyth has been a regular in City’s Under-21 Development Squad since joining the Foxes from non-league Leamington in the summer of 2012, scoring frequently for Steve Beaglehole’s side in the Barclays Under-21 Premier League. A powerful forward and expert finisher, his highlights during 2013/14 included scoring all four goals in a 4-1 win over Reading at the Ricoh Arena in April.
Jacob begins a second spell on loan at the Pirelli Stadium, having made two appearances for Burton during a month-long loan in late 2012. He has also spent time on loan with Notts County and Northampton Town since joining City.
Burton have made a fine start to their League 2 campaign, winning three and drawing one of their opening four matches and knocking Championship side Wigan out of the League Cup in the first round.
The Brewers travel to Mansfield Town this weekend before games against Portsmouth, York City and AFC Wimbledon.
