St. Ledger Set For Lions Loan

City defender Sean St. Ledger will begin a month-long loan spell with Millwall following Friday’s meeting between the two clubs at King Power Stadium.

The 28-year-old centre-back will join Kenny Jackett’s Lions until 4 May, as he looks to build fitness following a spell on the sidelines through injury.

St. Ledger has been limited to just 10 appearances for City this season and just three since October, the latest coming at Derby County nearly a fortnight ago. He also played 18 minutes as a substitute for the Republic of Ireland in their World Cup qualification match with Austria in Dublin on Tuesday night.

Millwall’s run to the semi-finals of the FA Cup means Sean could feature in as many as 10 games for the Lions before the end of the regular season, including the showpiece fixture against Wigan Athletic at Wembley on 13 April.

He will be available to make his debut for Millwall against Ipswich Town on Easter Monday, but will have no contact with anyone at the London club until after Friday's game at King Power Stadium.
