Join Nigel For The Foxes Remembered Premiere

Nigel Pearson will be among the guests for a special premiere of the forthcoming documentary Foxes Remembered: The Story of Leicester City and the First World War, at King Power Stadium tonight.
The Club will host a first screening of the short film on Tuesday 11 November at 7pm, with all profits being donated to the Royal British Legion’s 2014 Poppy Appeal.

Nigel was among a group of Club staff that travelled to the battlefields of the Somme in early October, to revisit some of the sites where 50 former Leicester players are known to have fought during the First World War.

One hundred years after the Great War began, the Club has commissioned a documentary to retell some of those players’ stories.

Next Tuesday’s event, to be hosted in the Fosse Club at King Power Stadium, will include a special exhibition from Club Historian John Hutchinson, highlighting more of the incredible stories of players that swapped the training pitch for the trenches a century ago, plus live interviews with Nigel Pearson and Club Ambassador Alan Birchenall about the trip to Somme and the making of the film.

There will also be a cash bar serving refreshments throughout the evening.

Tickets for the event will be priced £10 for Adults and £7.50 for Concessions and can be purchased from from the City Fanstore, by calling the City Sales Centre on 0344 815 5000 or at www.lcfcdirect.com.

The evening will be held in support of the Royal British Legion’s 2014 Poppy Appeal.
