A Message From 'The Birch'

As some of you may or may not know, I’ve been associated with this great club for over 40 years now. In that time, I’ve worked alongside many different people as a player and now Club Ambassador, but for 34 of those years, one thing hasn’t changed.
During the last game of every season since 1980, I’ve completed my Annual Run – 90 gruelling minutes of blood, sweat and tears. This year, I’ll be doing it again for the 35th time when City take to the pitch to face Queens Park Rangers on Sunday 24 May.
Of course, it’ll be all in aid of the excellent LCFC Foxes Foundation and their chosen charities for the 2014/15 season.
I’m not going to lie, it’s going to be a huge ask. Last year, I pulled my hamstring just before the run and it was touch-and-go whether I would be able to do it or not, but the brilliant support I received from the staff and supporters of this Club spurred me on. I couldn’t walk for a week after that!
This year, I need your support even more. This is your chance to get behind the Club, and more specifically, the fantastic LCFC Foxes Foundation, who are aiming to raise an astonishing £250,000 for charity this campaign.
