Added Experience Thrills Moore

Leicester City defender Liam Moore says he is looking forward to playing with defensive duo Christian Fuchs and Robert Huth, following their recent signings.
Left back Fuchs, who can also operate in left midfield, joined from Schalke 04 on a free transfer, while Huth signed from Stoke City for an undisclosed fee following an impressive loan spell last season.

Huth’s performances in a Stoke shirt went a long way in helping to establish his former club in the top flight, and Fuchs’ time at Schalke saw him play in the Champions League, most notably scoring at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium against Real Madrid.

And for Moore, the chance to both train and play alongside two players that have plied their trade at the top level for a number of years can only beneficial to him.

They are experienced players,” Academy graduate Moore said. “Huth has a load of experience at the top.

“There are little points you can pick up from players like that. I can only learn from players with such quality and experience every day in training.”

Moore notched up 14 appearances in all competitions for the Foxes last campaign, also spending time on loan at Championship outfit Brentford.

Playing time at Leicester became hard to come by in the second half of the season for the Academy graduate, but having spent all of his professional career with the Foxes, Moore was still able to appreciate the sensational run his teammates went on across April and May.

He added: “It (last season) was great. I have been at Leicester for quite some time now and it was quite sad to see that we might be slipping away back into the Championship, but we rallied together and we didn’t shy away from the situation.

“We knew it was be all or end all. We knew we had to go on an unbelievable run. I think the character shown by the lads was unbelievable.

“The training stepped up a gear and everything started to fall into place. I think we found ourselves as a team and what our identity was.

“We knew exactly what got us into the Premier League and took that into the last 10 or 12 games and that kept us up. That gives us a really good chance next season.”
