Beaglehole: A Crucial Game

The Foxes have been in irresistible form in recent weeks, registering five wins in the last six league games, as well as qualifying for the semi-finals of the Premier League International Cup.
That run of results has seen City move within two points of table-topping Manchester United – a side Leicester recorded a late 3-2 victory against in November – adding an extra incentive to beat the Red Devils when they come to Leicester on Monday.
Anticipating a challenging tie, Beaglehole told Foxes Player: “It’s a crucial game because we’re up there with them. It’s terrific that we are in at this stage of the season.
“Manchester United have a history of developing young players and moving them up. They’ve got some very good players. The last two teams that they’ve put out had a few players in that have first team experience.
“We had a great result on Thursday against Everton, who are a strong side and pushed us all the way. We’re in good spirits and we’re confident.”
The Blue Army have seen Beaglehole’s outfit suffer just one defeat at King Power Stadium this campaign – that coming against Fulham back in September.
Hoping his side will again be spurred on on home soil against their Manchester opponents on Monday, Beaglehole added: “When we’re playing at King Power Stadium against Manchester United, we need people to come and support us.
“That encourages them and makes the environment as near to a first team environment as possible. I hope that we get a good turn out so people can see that we’ve got some good players coming through.”
