Leicester City striker Jacob Blyth has joined Sky Bet League 1 side Blackpool on loan until the end of the 2015/16 season.

Blyth, 23, knows the rigours of the Football League well having previously spent time on loan at Burton Albion, Notts County, Northampton Town and most recently Cambridge United.

The powerful centre forward has also enjoyed a productive spell in the Club’s Development Squad over the past few seasons, last scoring in the 1-0 Barclays U21 Premier League win at Sunderland in late February.

With an eye for goal and excellent aerial ability, Blyth now heads to Bloomfield Road to help Blackpool in their bid to retain their League 1 status.

Having earned a 2-1 win at Crewe Alexandra last time out, Neil McDonald’s men next face Bury at Bloomfield Road on Friday 25 March – a game Blyth could potentially be involved in should he be registered in time.
