- Youngsters Darnell Johnson and Admiral Muskwe were quizzed on Leicester City matters

Two Leicester City youngsters went in front of the cameras last week as BT Sport were given an exclusive and extensive look at the Club’s Category 1 training facility, Belvoir Drive.

The feature aimed to shed some light on the Foxes’ impressive Academy facilities that have produced some excellent footballing talent over the years and was broadcast on the 'Fletch and Sav' show ahead of the Barclays Premier League fixture between Chelsea and Arsenal.

Alongside a rare glimpse of what goes on on a day-to-day basis at Belvoir Drive came an interview with two of the Club’s promising scholars, who explained just what it’s like to learn their trade at a Premier League team with huge ambitions.

Cameras caught a training session taken by Under-18s manager Trevor Peake and his players before they headed off to boot room where Johnson and Muskwe were questioned on Academy matters.

Johnson is an England youth international who currently captains City’s Under-18s side and played a major role in their run to the semi-final of last season’s FA Youth Cup. In fact, the young defender scored a late winning goal in the quarter final to set up a last four tie with eventual winners Manchester City.

Fittingly, Johnson is the godson of Academy graduate Emile Heskey, who is now a Club Ambassador for the LCFC Foxes Foundation.

Also quizzed was striker Muskwe, who this season has scored eight goals for the Under-18s, including one against Norwich City at the same time BT Sport were broadcasting the programme that he featured in!

Having been head of City’s successful Category 1 Academy since 2003, Director of Football and Academy Director Jon Rudkin went on to give an interview about how the two youngsters have progressed throughout their time at the Club.
