City Stars Enjoying Loan Spells

Leicester City’s loan contingent have continued their productive time away from the Club, with a total of nine players out across three tiers of English football.

Young winger Tom Lawrence made his first appearance for Rotherham United on Saturday after signing a one-month loan deal in late November.
The 20-year-old played over an hour for the newly-promoted Championship club in their 1-1 draw with Blackpool on Saturday, helping side to create a handful of chances in the process.
Lawrence will know the rigours of Championship football after playing for Yeovil on loan from Manchester United in the 2013/14 campaign.
Again gaining valuable first team football ahead of a busy Christmas period, Lawrence will hope to be involved in the clash with Cardiff City on Saturday before his side host Nottingham Forest the following weekend.
Development Squad forward Jacob Blyth has again found the net since the last loan round-up, scoring the third goal in Burton Albion’s 3-1 win over Wycombe on Monday 17 November.
Blyth, now playing under new boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, also made a late appearance off the bench in the Brewers’ 1-0 loss to Shrewsbury Town in late November.
The young forward will look to make another valuable impact when Burton travel to Exeter on Saturday.
Under-21 midfielder Michael Cain has enjoyed another two victories in a Walsall shirt in November, helping his side beat Sheffield United 1-0 in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy before another win by the same score line against Fleetwood Town on Saturday 22 November.
Extending his loan until mid-December, Cain has now made nine appearances in all competitions for the Saddlers and will hope to play a part in Tuesday’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy clash with Tranmere before his side host Barnsley on Saturday in League 1.
Right-back James Pearson was another youngster to extend his loan spell, this time with Conference Premier side Wrexham.
The 21-year-old defender joined the side in October and enjoyed a productive spell at Kevin Wilkin’s men, making four appearances for Wrexham, with the most recent coming in a 3-1 win over Aldershot in late November.
Pearson’s new club host Bristol Rovers in the league on Tuesday before a second round FA Cup tie against Maidstone on Saturday.
Development Squad trio Simonas Stankevicius, Marcel Barrington and Adam Dawson are all currently plying their trade on loan from the Foxes at Nuneaton Town.
Dawson knows the Liberty Stadium outfit well after signing another one-month loan deal with them last month and played 90 minutes on his return to the Club in their 3-2 win over Chester on Saturday.
And forward Barrington scored his first goal in a Nuneaton shirt, netting the third in the league victory to seal all three points for the Conference Premier side while Stankevicius was an unused substitute.
All three will be hoping to make an impact on Tuesday when they travel to Kidderminster in the league before hosting Alfreton on Saturday.
Shot-stopper Conrad Logan signed on loan for Rochdale until January after an initial one-month deal at the start of the season.
The 28-year-old goalkeeper has played a further five times for the Dale and has now racked up 21 appearances for the League 1 outfit, saving three penalties in the process.
Logan will hope to help his side to a win on Sunday in a second round FA Cup clash with Aldershot, while three points against Colchester United on Saturday 13 December could see his side move into the top six in the league.
Midfielder Paul Gallagher is enjoying his season-long loan at Preston North End, totalling 22 appearance for the Lilywhites.
Gallagher found the back of the net in Preston’s 2-0 win over Yeovil on Saturday, making it four goals in a white shirt for the 2014/15 campaign.
Preston entertain Shrewsbury in the second round of the FA Cup on Saturday before fellow high-flyers MK Dons pay a visit to Deepdale on the following Saturday in League 1.
