Drinkwater: We Need A Result

Leicester City won’t lose their focus against in-form West Ham United when they meet in the Barclays Premier League on Saturday according to midfielder Danny Drinkwater.
Last season’s Player of the Year joined Esteban Cambiasso and Andy King in a midfield three for the visit of Manchester City last time out, and performed well, but he knows it’s points that will make the difference.

They’ll be aiming to claim three of those on Saturday, but in their way at Upton Park stand the formidable opposition of Sam Allardyce’s Hammers, who sit in the lofty position of fourth in the table.

Speaking to Foxes Player, Drinkwater said: “That’s (points) what’s most important, it’s not the performance that we need, it’s the results, and hopefully we’ll get both on Saturday.

“West Ham have had a great start. They’ve got some great players in the squad and a very physical side, but if we can match them then I’m sure we’ll come out on top.

“You go into every game wanting to win, hoping to win and preparing for those three points. Who the opposition is doesn’t really matter, we go into the game awaiting the three points and knowing our job.

“The quicker we get points on the board the better it is. December is a busy month for us, so if we can pick up more points than we have been doing, then it will be a positive.”
