FIXTURE RELEASE: Leicester City Travel To Hull City On Opening Day

Leicester City will begin the defence of their Premier League title with a trip to face newly promoted Hull City at the KC Stadium after the full 2016/17 schedule was confirmed on Fixture Release Day.
- Leicester City will travel to face newly promoted Hull City on the opening weekend of the 2016/17 Premier League campaign 

- The Foxes face games against Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United in their opening six fixtures as they begin the defence of their title 

- The Foxes face Everton at home on Boxing Day while West Ham United will visit King Power Stadium on New Year’s Eve 

- Claudio Ranieri’s side face AFC Bournemouth at home on the final day of the season 

- All fixture dates and kick-off times are pending television broadcast selections and are subject to change 

Leicester City will begin the defence of their Premier League title with a trip to face newly promoted Hull City at the KC Stadium after the full 2016/17 schedule was confirmed on Fixture Release Day. 

Claudio Ranieri’s side travel to face Steve Bruce’s play-off winners, who secured promotion at Wembley last month, on Saturday 13 August, while their opening six fixtures also include visits to Liverpool and Manchester United. 

Following the opening day trip to Hull City, the Foxes will host Arsenal at King Power Stadium (Saturday 20 August) before another home clash with Swansea City (Saturday 27 August). A trip to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool follows (Saturday 10 September) before a home game with new boys Burnley (Saturday 17 September) and a visit to Old Trafford to face Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United (Saturday 24 September) completes a tough opening six. 

A hectic December will see Ranieri’s men play six times during the month, including a home fixture against Everton on Boxing Day as well as another King Power Stadium clash with West Ham United on New Year’s Eve. 

Newly promoted Middlesbrough with then provide the first opposition of 2017 in a Monday 2 January fixture at the Riverside Stadium before a tough run of home fixtures against Chelsea (Saturday 14 January), Manchester United (Saturday 4 February) and Liverpool (Saturday 25 February). 

The Foxes again face a testing final six fixtures to round off the campaign, starting with a visit to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace (Saturday 15 April) before hosting Tottenham Hotspur (Saturday 22 April) and travelling to West Bromwich Albion (Saturday 29 April). 

Two of City’s final three games will be at King Power Stadium, with Watford set to visit on Saturday 6 May. That match is followed by a challenging trip to face Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City (Saturday 13 May) before the season comes to an end with a home clash against AFC Bournemouth on Sunday 21 May.

Leicester City are also set to compete in the Champions League for the first time during the 2016/17 season, the draw for which will be made on 25 August.
