Foxes Strike Up Panthers Friendship
- Kasper Schmeichel, Jamie Vardy, Wes Morgan and Christian Fuchs all took part in an American Football workout on Thursday
- The jerseys arrived after the Foxes sent out shirts to the Panthers ahead of their victory over the Seattle Seahawks last week
- Both teams have been their league’s surprise package so far this season
- City next take on Stoke City on Saturday while the Panthers face the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC Championship game on Sunday
Four Leicester City stars took on a little extra training this week after a special delivery from our new friends in the National Football League, the Carolina Panthers.
Kasper Schmeichel, Jamie Vardy, Christian Fuchs and Wes Morgan all had personalised Panthers jerseys delivered to the City training ground, and with an NFL football also thrown in, the lads couldn’t resist taking it out onto the pitch.
The delivery comes after the Foxes ahead of their huge NFC Divisional matchup against the Seattle Seahwaks last week.
Quarterback Cam Newton, linebacker Luke Kuechly, cornerback Josh Norman and kicker Graham Gano all received personalised shirts as City showed their support for a team who, like Claudio Ranieri’s side, have taken their league by storm this season.
City’s own campaign continues with a home clash against Stoke City on Saturday while the Panthers have now reached the NFC Championship game against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday night – the winner of which heads to Super Bowl 50 next month.
