Defender Christian Fuchs says the Leicester City squad are looking forward to hosting Manchester United at King Power Stadium on Saturday, but warns that the game will play out differently to last season.

The Foxes have scored the most goals in the Barclays Premier League this season and come up against a Manchester United team that boast the best defence, as the division’s top two meet.

The fixture last season saw Leicester come from 3-1 down to win 5-3 thanks to goals from England international Jamie Vardy, Leo Ulloa and Esteban Cambiasso, but Fuchs thinks it will be a different story this time.

He said: “I didn’t watch it when it happened, I don’t know what we can take from that game because this is a completely different game with so many new players.

“Some players aren’t at Manchester anymore, [Esteban] Cambiasso isn’t with us anymore, so it will be a completely new game which the gaffer will prepare us very well for.”

Leicester are coming off the back of one of their most impressive performances of the season last weekend after beating Newcastle United 3-0.

Fuchs added: “The Newcastle game was one of our best, not because we scored three goals, but also because we gave Newcastle almost no chances. I mean nothing, because we defended well.

“Obviously [Claudio] is Italian so he is very much into tactics and formations, but then he knows we have so much speed and quality in the attacking area and tells us to do whatever we want there. He is doing well.

“The way we play is to counter very fast because we have so much pace up front, let’s see what’s going to happen – I’m not going to tell you.”
