The countdown to Christmas continued on Monday afternoon, as Danny Drinkwater and Matty James met supporters during the festive rush at the City Fanstore.
As hundreds of the Foxes faithful poured in to pick up Christmas gifts for their loved ones, City’s midfield duo were in great sprits as they signed autographs and posed for photographs with the patient crowds. Saturday’s narrow 1-0 defeat to champions Manchester City has brought the Christmas period into sharper focus for the Foxes, with a trip to in-form West Ham United in-store this coming weekend.
But Matty and Danny were only too pleased to take some time out of their preparations to meet members of the Blue Army during the festive season.
Matty told lcfc.com: “The turn-out’s been great, but then it always is at these events with Leicester fans. They’ve shown great support for the lads this season, even when things have been difficult in terms of results.
“It’s been nice to be able to meet some of them today and to give something back. The Christmas period is demanding on the fans as well as the players, so stopping by today to wish some of them a happy Christmas is the least we could do.”
