Leicester City midfielder Matty James knows that the team must get their game plan right if they are to claim a Barclays Premier League victory over West Ham on Saturday.
It will be a tough challenge against the fourth placed side in the league, but James points to recent performances as well as the team spirit within the camp as reason for optimism. And with a host of games set to come in quick succession over the Christmas period, James knows that a victory over the Hammers could provide the perfect springboard.
“We’re trying to get the three points. It’s going to be a tough game. West Ham are flying high at the minute, they bought some good players in the summer and they’re picking up some good points.
“We’re going to try and put a game plan together that can get us the three points. If we can try to frustrate them it’ll be good as their fans will be expecting a win, what with where we are in the league.
“We’ve good team spirit, everyone is together and we’ll try to get the game plan together and get the game won.
“If you can get the win on Saturday then the game comes quickly. We’re playing on Boxing Day and then a couple of days later. If you can pick up points over the Christmas period then you can start climbing the table quickly.”
