King: Find Their Weaknesses
And Academy graduate King, who is the Club’s all-time record scoring midfielder, could be set for a tough midfield battle against an in-form Spurs side who are fighting for success on four fronts this season.
He told Foxes Player: “They’ve got a lot of good players – a big squad with quality all over the pitch. We are going to have to find the weaknesses in them and if we play like we did against Manchester City, then we can go out there and get the win.
“They change it around quite a bit [in central midfield]. They’ve got the young boy Ryan Mason in there, then Mousa Dembele who has a good reputation around the league. But they can put a number of players in there and they’ll all have good qualities. It’s about what we do though, and if we find their weaknesses, we can capitalise on those.”
One man who King knows well is in-form striker Harry Kane, whose 14 goals have put him in contention for an England call-up. The 21-year-old scored twice in a 13-game loan spell at King Power Stadium in 2013.
King added: “We know what he’s about. We know he’s a really good player with good technique and he’s scoring a lot of goals at the moment.
“We don’t want to concentrate too much on the opposition, we obviously want to give them respect – they’re a top side and top team – but they’re beatable and it’s about us finding a way to do that.”
