King Hails Squad Contribution

After netting his second goal in as many home games in the victory over Swansea City on Saturday, midfielder Andy King says he was pleased with the contribution of every player involved in the win.

The Academy graduate, just as he had done against West Ham United two games earlier, scored late on, adding to Leonardo Ulloa’s early opener at King Power Stadium.
It was a superb performance from the Foxes, who made it three Barclays Premier League wins on the spin, and in turn moved off the bottom of the table for the first time since November.
“It doesn’t matter who scores the goals at any stage of the season,” King told Foxes Player. “The main thing is that everyone is contributing and that was the case again against Swansea.
“Whether that be from the start or off the bench – the substitutes that came on were really good and positive.
“You can see everyone is pulling in the right direction and we’ve just got to keep this run going now.”
Having been seven points from safety at the start of the month, Nigel Pearson’s men now only remain in the drop-zone on goal difference.
And while it has been an astonishing turnaround for City, King and his teammates will not get carried away with recent results, and remain focused on the task at hand, according to the Wales international.
“The table doesn’t mean a lot if you’re still in the bottom three,” King added. “It’s all about being outside of the bottom three come the last game of the season.
“There’s nothing else to it really. That’s the aim and we’re not there yet, so it’s back to it now and looking ahead to next weekend.
“With other teams seeing that we’ve won three on the spin now, it’s good. People will have known that we’re a good side all season, and now we’re turning those good performances into good results. There will be not many people fancying playing us at the moment.”
