King Power Surge To Second 2015 Polo Title

- Vice-Chairman Top Srivaddhanaprabha on target twice for King Power 

- Victory sees them win their second major title in two months 

- King Power finish season with perfect 12-0 record 

King Power Foxes concluded an all-conquering 2015 season by securing the Jaeger-LeCoultre British Gold Cup Open at Cowdray Park on Sunday afternoon. 

The 14-8 victory proved to be their second major trophy in two months, with success at the Cartier Queen’s Cup Finals coming in June. 

With the help of Vice-Chairman Top Srivaddhanaprabha’s two goals, King Power’s dominant polo team overcame UAE in a final that was witnessed by a crowd of over 15,000 in West Sussex. 

The victory proved to be the first for Top and Englishman Hugo Lewis, the second for Gonzalito Pieres and the third for Facundo Pieres – one of only a handful of players to have an elite 10-goal handicap 

“We tried, we wanted to win because we had a very good team,” Top said. “The organisation worked great, and this is such a great achievement for everybody. 

“Next year is going to be difficult. I don't think we will have the same team, because Hugo's going to have his handicap raised. However, we will try. For the moment, we are going to celebrate and take some days off.” 

Also in attendance was Chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, who watched on as his side finished the season with a perfect 12-0 record following the British Gold Cup triumph.
