King: Win At All Costs

There will be no change in mentality on Saturday according to Andy King as his Leicester City side tackle Burnley in the Barclays Premier League at Turf Moor.
A win would mean everything to both Nigel Pearson’s and Sean Dyche’s men at the weekend – with three points having the potential to lift both teams out of the bottom three.

City’s three consecutive victories now sees them in 18th place, with only an inferior goal difference preventing them overhauling 17th placed Hull City.

Meanwhile the Clarets have slipped to 20th, but with so few points separating so few teams, there is all to play for.

“We’re in the bottom three and if someone had said that to us at the start of the season we wouldn’t have been pleased,” King told Foxes Player. “But having been where we were, to have put the three wins together and given ourselves half a chance is massive.

“That’s why everyone is so confident and that’s why there’s such a good buzz around the place at the moment.

“I don’t think our mentality has changed throughout the season. Ultimately we’re still in the bottom three at the moment and if the last game of the season was last week, we’d be relegated.

“We don’t want to be in the bottom three come the end of the season so it is a win at all costs situation for us at the moment. Whether that will continue between now and the end of the year, who knows. But we’ve got to take it one game at a time, and that’s what we’ll do on Saturday.”

The two sides drew 2-2 earlier in the campaign after Ross Wallace’s stoppage time free kick levelled it for the Clarets, and King knows the return game at Turf Moor will be just as tough this time around.

“They did brilliantly last year and we know what they’re about. We’ve got to make sure we’re ready for that and the way they’re going to come at us.

“They’re a good team and we’ve got to be aware of that. We know if we go there and play like we have been playing of late, we’ve got enough to cause them problems and hopefully pick up another three points.

“They’re a good team and work hard for each other. They know what to do and are fully aware of the job in hand. They’re going to be trying to make it hard for us and we know they need the three points as much as us, so it’ll be a tough game.”
