The 2014/15 season was a fantastic one for Leicester City, with the Club’s heroics on the pitch matched off it with some sensational fundraising by the LCFC Foxes Foundation.

On Saturday, each of the LCFC Foxes Foundation’s five chosen charities for last campaign each received donations in excess of £21,000, with a total of £108,024 raised by all types of activities and events.

Present at King Power Stadium for the fixture against Sunderland were representatives of Leicester Hospitals Charity, Leicestershire Autistic Society, Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research - Leicester & Rutland Branch, Rainbows Hospice for Children & Young People and The Lord Mayor of Leicester’s Appeal.

Chosen for their phenomenal, and in some cases life-saving efforts, at half-time each charity will be presented a cheque for £21,604.80, while also enjoyed the match from the Directors’ Box.

The funds will go to a wide range of services and facilities to help those who need it the most – perhaps equally as varied as the methods that were used to raise them.

Club Ambassador Alan ‘The Birch’ Birchenall played another significant part, hosting his fun Bingo Night in November, before storming through his gruelling 35th Annual Foxes Foundation Run prior to the Queens Park Rangers game on the final day of the 2014/15 season in May.

Monumental efforts from the Club’s staff also helped out when a group completed the National Three Peaks Challenge in May. Snow, wind, rain and hail stood in the way, but they battled the elements to climb to the summits of Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis in just 23 hours.

Leicester City Analyst Peter Clark also smashed through the pain barrier in April, completing the 26.2 mile long London Marathon in aid of Rainbows Hospice, while auctioning off City’s match-worn Remembrance Day Poppy Shirts provided over £12,000.

The LCFC Foxes Foundation’s Santa Fun Run, Celebrity Soccer Sunday, King Power Fans Challenge and Ultra White Collar Boxing all contributed to a superb total.

A huge thank you to all that took part in what proved to be an excellent season of fundraising for the LCFC Foxes Foundation.
