Leicester City 4-2 Sunderland

Claudio Ranieri’s first match as Leicester City manager came at a sun soaked King Power Stadium and proved to be one to remember as the Foxes hit four against Sunderland.
A Jamie Vardy goal and a Riyad Mahrez brace had Leicester 3-0 up inside 25 minutes and afterwards the manager said the victory was inspired by Kasabian, whose ‘Fire’ track turned his players into ‘warriors’.
2014/15
Leicester City 2-2 Everton
Goals: Ulloa 22, Wood 86; McGeady 20, Naismith 45
After a decade away from the top flight, Leicester City faced Everton at King Power Stadium to open their Premier League campaign but were twice forced to come from behind.
Leonardo Ulloa responded to Aiden McGeady’s opener but after Steven Naismith put Everton 2-1 up, it took until the 86th minute for Chris Wood to fire in a memorable later equaliser.
2013/14
Middlesbrough 1-2 Leicester City
Goals: St Ledger og 35; Drinkwater 60, Vardy 67
After a lacklustre first half, things weren’t looking good for the Foxes away to Middlesbrough as they looked to put the heartbreak of play-off defeat to Watford the previous season behind them.
However two goals in the space of seven minutes from Danny Drinkwater and Jamie Vardy turned the game on its head and kick started a run of form that would ultimately see City win the league title comfortably.
2012/13
Leicester City 2-0 Peterborough United
Goals: Morgan 51, King 75
The Foxes kicked off the 2012/13 season at home amid high expectations and although it was level at the break, they didn’t disappoint – goals from Wes Morgan and Andy King giving them a comfortable win.
The game also marked Morgan’s first league match as Leicester City captain – a reign that would see him go on to lift both the Championship and Premier League titles.
2011/12
Coventry City 0-1 Leicester City
Goal: Peltier 52
Another season of high expectations opened with a fiery encounter against Coventry City, as both sides had a man sent off in the first 45 minutes.
The lively David Nugent caused problems while Gelson Fernandes put in a dominant midfield display, but it was defender Lee Peltier who headed in the decisive goal to give City a winning start.
